Mubarrak Sir!

Jaipur_0372, originally uploaded by AaronDsouza.

This building is supposed to have been used as reception hall during the Jaipur reign and probably that is why it is Mubarak Mahal. In early days at the order of Mughal Emperor Akbar, Mahabharata, Shahi-Ramayana, Surpadawali etc. famous manuscripts were displayed here.

The Hall of Public Audiences was where the emperor would sit to hear complaints is or disputes from his subjects. His alcove in the wall was marble-panelled and set with precious stones, many of which were looted following the Mutiny/Uprising. Lord Curzon, the viceroy of India between 1.89, e and 1905 restored this elegant hall as a result of a directive.

Gateway To India: The India Gate is a majestic high arch, 42 meters high, built as a memorial to the Indian soldiers killed in the World War I. From the base of the arch one can get a good view of the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Metro Ride to Red Fort: Shown below is the Red Fort. One of the most spectacular pieces of Mughal Architecture built by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan. And below, Delhi's Metro Rail. The key feature of this rail system is that its ticketing and passenger control is completing automated. You simply buy a ticket and mind you, its not paper based, its a coin which you swipe to get access to the platform and at your destination, the same coin is used to get you out of the platform. I shall add some more snaps on the metro soon.
